PUBLICATION POLICY
Articles submitted to DiHA: Journal of Interdisciplinary Legal Studies must not have been published elsewhere and must not be submitted for publication elsewhere. Authors will be required to provide an additional commitment statement regarding this matter.
Articles that have undergone initial evaluation by the Editorial Board and are found to be inconsistent with these publication principles will be returned to the authors for correction according to these rules before being sent to reviewers. Unusual grammatical errors, the lack of necessary domestic and foreign doctrine, failure to adhere to scientific criteria and academic ethical principles, and the lack of contemporary relevance or significance of the article's topic in theory and/or practice are sufficient grounds for rejection by the Editorial Board.
Before being sent to reviewers, articles are subjected to plagiarism checks using special computer programs. If the similarity rate exceeds 20%, it is sufficient for the rejection of the article.
Articles deemed appropriate in the initial evaluation are sent to reviewers with author names removed from the text. Authors are not informed of which reviewers the article is sent to. Based on the reports received from reviewer, decisions are made regarding the publication, revision, or rejection of the article. There is no minimum or maximum duration for the reviewer stage. Monitoring this process is solely the responsibility and authority of the Editor in Chief, and direct or indirect intervention by the authors at this stage is considered an ethical violation.
The final authority and responsibility for whether the article/work will ultimately be published and, if so, in which issue of DiHA it will appear, lie with the Editor in Chief. The presence of a single negative reviewer report could be sufficient to prevent the publication of the article.
The completion of the reviewing stage does not grant authors the authority to request a special/official document indicating that the article will be published. Authors are supposed to acknowledge this circumstance.
The Editorial Board determines the articles to be included in an issue of the journal by considering criteria such as maintaining diversity of fields, submission dates to DiHA and completion dates of the reviewing stage, the actuality of the article subject, and the geographical distribution of authors.
Authors are deemed to have transferred their copyright to DiHA without requesting any fee.
