Aim and Scope
Journal of Konya Research is an interdisciplinary academic publication that investigates the historical, cultural, social and economic dimensions of Konya and compiles relevant scientific studies. The main motivation for publishing the journal is that the knowledge gained in the field of Konya studies has reached a level suitable for publishing an academic journal in terms of continuity and scope. It is obvious that understanding the problems Konya has faced from past to present and making predictions about the future is only possible with scientific and critical knowledge. Aiming to build a bridge between the academic community and other field stakeholders with theoretical and application-oriented articles, the journal aims to offer in-depth analyzes on Konya with special issues focusing on current and important cover topics. In this context, our journal aims to contribute to Konya's scientific knowledge production and dissemination, as well as to encourage knowledge exchange at local and international levels. In addition, it provides a platform that aims to support young researchers from various disciplines, contributing to their academic careers and strengthening social participation in this process. In this respect, the journal aims to be an indispensable resource for academics, graduate students, policy makers and anyone interested in Konya.
Journal of Konya Research includes research in a wide range of fields, including theoretical and applied research on Konya. Social and human sciences such as historical sciences, economic and administrative sciences, geography, linguistics, law, psychology, sociology, anthropology, theology, communication sciences, educational sciences, social policy, social work, musicology, criminology, and ethnology are included in the scope of the journal. While priority is given to studies addressing Konya's cultural heritage and social dynamics, the protection and promotion of this heritage is also an important focal point. The magazine also includes scientific research examining the social and economic dynamics of Konya, and brings together various perspectives reflecting the historical and cultural diversity of the city with thematic issues. It aims to contribute to academic knowledge through in-depth studies on cultural heritage and figures identified with Konya, such as Mevlana.
