Vision 2026

Dear Researchers, Authors, and Readers,

The Journal of Konya Research (JoKR), which addresses the historical, cultural, and social dynamics of Konya with an interdisciplinary approach, has made significant and innovative structural changes to its publication policy as of 2026, with the aim of increasing the speed of knowledge dissemination and connecting local studies more strongly with the international academy.

These updates, implemented in line with our journal's internationalization vision, are as follows:

1. Transition to a Continuous Publication Model: Our greatest priority is to contribute scientific knowledge to the literature before it loses its timeliness. In line with this, the "annual publication (December)" period applied in previous years has been abandoned, and a Continuous Publication Model has been adopted. From now on, every article submitted to our journal that successfully completes the peer review process and is ready for layout will be published on our website without waiting for any specific publication period, thus contributing to the literature.

2. Optional Bilingual Publication Option: Our journal supports the global citation of valuable studies contributed to the Turkish literature. To this end, authors whose articles have passed the peer-review process and been "Accepted" are offered the opportunity to have the full text of their work published in a second language (English for Turkish articles, Turkish for English articles).

Transparency and Ethics Statement: Article evaluation and standard publication processes in our journal are completely free of charge. However, professional translation and bilingual layout services offered to authors who wish to have their accepted articles published bilingually are subject to a fee. This service is entirely at the author's discretion, and the translation/editing cost has no organic connection to the scientific evaluation process of the article.
